Ramana's Garden is a home and school for orphans and destitute children.  We have 55 children living here and provide a modern and high quality education for 137 children, many who attend from the nearby village of Tapovan and Laxman Jhula.  The above photo shows Narendra (11 years old) during our daily tuition sessions following school.

At our mountain center we have an organic farm that supplies our children with fresh and healthy organic fruits, vegetables, milk and eggs.  The farm is managed by a team of local staff as well as volunteers.

We have provided educational assistance to over 1,800 children in 68 villages over the past 12 years. In 22 mountain villages we have achieved a 100% literacy rate.  Not only do we support village schools we also provide vocational training for unskilled village women.

This photo shows the amazing view from our Himalayan mountain retreat.  Guests can stay here and enjoy the clean air, hikes through the pristine forest, delicious organic home cooked meals, gardens, and even partake in yoga, reiki initiation.  Relax by a crackling fire and be content with the knowledge that all proceeds go directly Ramana's Garden for the children.

Our cafe, opening 2006, will provide customers with a relaxing atmosphere in which they can sit and enjoy a variety of our organically grown salads and vegetables, homemade soups, topped off with fresh baked goods.  All food is grown and prepared on site by our talented chefs whose specialties include stinging nettle soup, walnut-cashew pizza, flaky croissants, chocolate cakes and cookies, savory momos, and so many more delicious items.  To complete the experience our cafe is situated above the Ganges River overlooking both the holy river and a bubbling creek surrounded by flowers and trees.  All proceeds go directly to Ramana's Garden.
